Please see the terms and conditions applicable to skip hire provided by EKR.
- Customers are entirely responsible when ordering our vehicles off of the public high way. Customers are to ensure adequate room is available for vehicle manoeuvring. EKR accepts no responsibility for loss or damage arising from vehicles carrying out skip movements when off the public highway, this includes;
- Damage to weak paths and driveways.
- Damage to manhole covers.
- Soft surfaces such as grass and flowerbeds and shrubbery areas.
- Low hanging trees
- Walls and fencing (if customer requests lifting over)
- Pictures are taken by the driver of where the skip has been placed. If the skip is moved from this exact placement, additional charges may occur and no liability will be accepted for damage to property arising from skip collection.
- No skip will be placed on the public highway without prior agreement and the relevant permit being obtained, this can be done through EKR head office. Permits are non-refundable. EKR will provide lights for skips on the public high way, if loss or damage occurs to these lights additional charges may be incurred. It is the customers responsibility to ensure these lights are operational in the hours of darkness.
- No Hazardous waste will be accepted without prior agreement with EKR head office. Any hazardous items found will be liable to extra charges. A full list of items and charges are available on our website.
- 12 and 16 Yard skips should NOT be used for soil and hardcore. If the skip is too heavy to lift upon collection, a wasted journey charge will apply. The customer is responsible for unloading the skip until a safe legal weight is reached.
- The customer is liable for costs arising from vandalism and theft of EKR skips including fire damage.
- EKR has a strict level load policy on all skips. If a skip is dangerously overloaded on collection a wasted journey charge will be applied, it is the customers responsibility to ensure the skip is safely loaded before re collection will be attempted. If the skip is overloaded but deemed safe, an overload charge shall apply.
- Skips are booked on a default period of 4 weeks. EKR reserves the right to collect the skip after the 4 week period, unless prior agreement has been made with head office.
- It is the customers responsibility to ensure skips are easily accessible and ready to deliver, collect or exchange when the vehicle arrives. Any onsite delays over 10 minutes may incur additional charges.
- Customers are bound by EKR payment terms. Any non-account customers must ensure full payment is made before skip movement can take place.
- Every step is taken to ensure that both Deliveries and exchanges take place ‘next day’ provided the booking has been made before 3pm. During busy periods collections can take up to 5 working days.
- Any changes to the order must be made 1 working day before original booking date. Any changes after this may incur a charge. Unused skips will be accepted for collection for 25% charge. If any material is in the skip the full charge will be made.
Returns Procedure and Policy

Please be aware:
- Any order cancellation must be made at least one working day prior to the day of delivery, or they may be subject to a cancellation charge.
- Only an empty skip or container will be considered for return, if any material is found, it will be chargeable in full.
- Please be aware you may be charged transportation if the skip has been delivered or is out for delivery at the time of cancellation.
